Tszyu’s stinging insult over rival’s ‘sad’ reality

Tim Tszyu has delivered an insult to rival Michael Zerafa ahead of the latter’s fight on the undercard of Nikita Tszyu’s bout with Koean Mazoudier next Wednesday.
The 29-year-old spoke recently from Las Vegas to Main Event as he prepares for his fight against Bakhram Murtazaliev.
Zerafa’s battle will be against Tommy Browne but he has flagged his hope of fighting Nikita in the future.

Tim was bemused when hearing Zerafa would be on Nikita’s undercard.

“Zerafa? On Nikita’s undercard? Poor fella,” he laughed on Main Event.
“The ship has sailed, huh.”
Prompted on the prospect of Nikita fighting Zerafa, Tszyu laughed again.
“I’d love to (see it),” he said.
“Nikita makes me nervous already.
“But if it leads to Zerafa, that’s pretty cool for Nikita.
“And pretty sad for Zerafa.
“Nikita is real early in his career and he’s a 30-fight veteran.”

Zerafa’s most recent fight was on the Las Vegas undercard of Tim’s world title loss to Sebastian Fundora.
The 32-year-old lost to Erislandy Lara by TKO.
Despite that loss, the talk around a potential fight between Tim and Zerafa continues to bubble in the background.
However, Tim put that to bed.
“That’s gone man,” he grinned. “Forget the name.”
In his reply to the video, Zerafa claimed Tim gets “nervous” around him.
“He acts always tough … on camera he’s got the biggest chest … when I’m in front of him he puts his head down, his tail between his legs and shakes my hand,” he said.
